Christopher Jones – Team Captain – Men

Chris is one of two HRRC Team Captains. He is fairly new to running having started in 2017 mainly running off-road and competing in trail and fell races. Chris loves to race in the Peak District but also in the hills of the motherland in North Wales. He lives in Malin Bridge and feels lucky to be able to lace up, head outside and be straight on the Rivelin Valley or Loxley trails, or on the roads around Bradfield and Dungworth. Chris loves to find the hills whenever he can, which isn’t difficult when you live in Sheffield. He is targeting the Ultra-Trail Snowdonia 50 in 2021.

His aspirations for the club are that we create a welcoming environment where runners can improve their running to meet their own goals, no matter how big or small. As one of the club captains he is committed to support everyone and looks forward to meeting lots of different runners at our group sessions and at local races.
