First Claim & Second Claim Explained

What does first / second claim mean?

At HRRC we register our first claim members as athletes with England Athletics, which essentially means you ‘compete’ in competitions and races for the club (don’t worry, this is for mere mortals as well as elite athletes!)

Second claim members are still a part of the club, but are not registered as athletes with EA by HRRC (either because they race first claim for another club, or because they don’t want to compete in local races for the club).

Registration with England Athletics (£16) which in itself includes a number of advantages including discounts on entering races (usually £2)Access to all our training runs and access to other training sessions.
Chance to participate in HRRC’s own ‘peak performance’ training groups, designed to help you meet your running goals for a specified event of your choosing.Access to our Clubhouse on Facebook / membership of a wonderful supportive running community!
