Heather Wallis

Heather Wallis – Welfare Officer

Heather is one of the two welfare officers in Hillsborough and Rivelin running club.

She started running in 2014 around Sheffield and the Peak District and really found a love for the hills. She has made so many close friends through running that she wonders if it’s more about the chatting and less about the running?

Heathers default setting is running on trails and the fells and living in Stannington she feels lucky to have Rivelin valley on the doorstep. She gets out to the Peaks as often as possible and in any weather but confesses to not being speedy. However, when she has the time to build up some distance she has enjoyed some of the longer races such as Grindleford Gallop, Snowdonia trail half and the Dark Peak Ultra.
