Peak Performance Coaching
One of the benefits of HRRC membership is access to our Peak Performance training groups.
Athletes decide on a goal time and distance and then through the club organised activities and training sessions, they build towards a performance peak. These training blocks are done at the same time as other members with similar goals and of similar ability. The aim being that athletes compete together in a local race at the end of a specific block of training and deliver their best results.
All of the groups are run by HRRC with the help of experienced runners and coaches on hand to help runners in the following areas:
- Build a training plan
- Setting appropriate goals
- Types of running
- Cross training
- Rest and recovery
- Injury prevention
- Race preparation

HRRC hosted our first trail race on 11th August with almost 200 runners taking part. Winner of the race in a new course record was Ruaridh Mon-Williams of Ilkely Harriers who completed the course in 28:54. Abbie Pearse won the womens race in 33:35
