Peak Performance Coaching

One of the benefits of HRRC membership is access to our Peak Performance training groups.

Athletes decide on a goal time and distance and then through the club organised activities and training sessions, they build towards a performance peak. These training blocks are done at the same time as other members with similar goals and of similar ability. The aim being that athletes compete together in a local race at the end of a specific block of training and deliver their best results.

All of the groups are run by HRRC with the help of experienced runners and coaches on hand to help runners in the following areas:

  • Build a training plan
  • Setting appropriate goals
  • Types of running
  • Cross training
  • Rest and recovery
  • Injury prevention
  • Race preparation

There were excellent performances all round from HRRC at the Totley Moor Fell Race but especially from our Women’s Team.
